Christina Harms also denounced Boston University for withdrawing what she said was a job offer amid the controversy, according to The Boston Globe.

“I believed then, as I do now, that she would elect to abort the pregnancy to protect her own well-being,’’ said Christina Harms. “She would want to be healthy.’’

According to newspapers, on Monday Harms sent a letter to a court judge in Massachusetts explaining the reasons for her decision.[...] Read More...

How to Make a Comedy Movie

How to Make a Comedy Movie

Have you ever wanted to make a good, comedy movie? Don’t know where to start? Look no further.

    Steps

    1. Plan it out. It’s best to plan it out and think of the jokes that you can change some of the stuff in and out. But, for now just try to write a script and get the cast to help you make it up as you go on if you want.

    2. Make good, realistic jokes. After a while all of your Superman jokes will get old.

    3. Start to record with whatever you Have. Even a webcam works. Digital Cameras help a lot, because they are already in format and are a easy transfer to your computer.

    4. Try to have music that fits with your scene, it wouldn’t make sense to have a sappy love song with a funny fight scene.

    5. Use editor programs like Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, etc. to remove extra scenes that you don’t need. But don’t delete them. If your video is a big success you’ll want to add bonus features such as deleted scenes, or how scenes were made.

    6. Get a company to review your movie and hope it is a big success.

    7. Finally save the movie and store it somewhere or put it on a DVD. You can now upload it to youtube, dailymotion, etc. OR you can watch it with friends.

How to Extend the Battery Life of an iPad

How to Extend the Battery Life of an iPad

Just as with an iPhone or iPod Touch, the battery life of your iPad will be shorter during heavy use. However, there are some measures you can take to keep your device on and active for hours of enjoyment, and this article explains what you can do to lengthen the battery life.

    Steps

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi and cellular data (iPad + 3G) settings. Your iPad drains battery power when searching for and attempting to connect to the nearest Wi-Fi or cellular network tower, so if you’re not planning on using Safari or apps that require these features, shut them off.

    • Go to “Settings”, “WiFi option” or “Cellular”, and tap the off switch.
    2. Turn off or decrease the timing for data fetching. Data that are updated regularly include email notifications and RSS feed.

    • Go to “Settings”. Tap on “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” and go to “Fetch New Data”. Tap “Manually”.
    • Alternately, tap “Hourly” to increase the fetching interval.
    3. Turn off Push notifications. The usefulness of this step depends on how many emails or IM+ you usually receive; if you get a lot, this step is probably worth using as this can d[...] Read More...

    How to Understand Marketing

    How to Understand Marketing

To many businesses, marketing can seem like a mystery. It is often complicated and confusing to many individuals. There are far too many marketing professionals who are hung up on just one or two specific aspects of marketing. These usually have little or no impact on the end result.

If you are looking to improve your marketing results, then follow these quick & easy guidelines.

    Steps

    1. Know your consumer. You just cannot market to a market that you do not know. You have to get to know your market as if it were a person. What motivates that “person? to buy your product? How old is the average person buying from you? What gender are they? Where do they live? What kinds of jobs do they have and what is their income? The more you know about your market, the more you are able to target your message effectively.

    2. Target your message to the appropriate audience.

    3. Time your message appropriately. You can have a great marketing message, but your market will not be interested if it does not reach them at the right time. Think about certain times of the year that your product or service can be advertised aggressively. Holidays such as Christmas, Fourth of July, and Easter could be exploited to increase revenue for your business.

    4. H[...] Read More...
